Hey Reader,

I wanted to share something with you that can make a huge difference in your business, It’s actually quite simple, tracking your data!

I know adding more to-dos isn’t fun, I hear you, but it’s simpler than you think.

Start by just looking at a few important numbers, like how many people visit your website or how much you’re selling.

As time goes by, you’ll learn what works, what your customers like, and how to improve your marketing.

You write down important things that happen each day, like:

  • Website visitors (how many people are looking at your website?)
  • Social media engagement (how many likes, shares, and comments are you getting?)
  • Sales (how many products or services are you selling?)
  • Email open rates (how many people are opening your emails?)
  • Customer inquiries (how many people are contacting you with questions or requests?)

Then, you can look back and see how you’re doing over time. Are your website visitors increasing? Are your sales going up? Are your social media posts getting more engagement?

Why is this important? Well, it helps you understand what’s working and what’s not.

Imagine you’re creating lots of content, but you’re not sure if it’s actually helping your business.

By tracking your data, you can see what’s working and what’s not, and make changes to improve it!

So, how do you start tracking your data? Here’s a simple step:

  • Open a spreadsheet on your computer (like Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Write down the important things you want to track (like the ones above)
  • Each day or week, update the spreadsheet with new numbers

That’s it! But it’s up to you to act on it.

If you want a template to help you get started, I’ve created one for our InnerCircle members. But you can start tracking your data right now, without any special tools.

It helps you understand what’s working and what’s not, so you can make those changes to grow your business.

Let’s go,
Tristan

P.S. Don’t forget to keep it simple and have fun with it! Tracking your data should be easy and helpful, not stressful or overwhelming.

Some other data you might want to track includes:

  • Customer satisfaction ratings
  • Time spent on tasks or projects
  • Expenses and revenue
  • Website bounce rates (how many people leave your website right away?)
  • Social media follower growth
  • Website click throughs (how many people have clicked on your website link(s) from your social profiles)

Feel free to add or remove data points as you see fit – the important thing is to track what matters most to your business!
